Nora Lawrence is Senior Curator at Storm King Art Center, where she founded a yearly exhibition program devoted to emerging and mid-career artists (Outlooks), and created a partnership between Storm King and The Shandaken Project that established Storm King’s first-ever artist residency. She has organized exhibitions for Storm King focused on artists including Lynda Benglis, David Brooks, Mark Dion, Josephine Halvorson, Heather Hart, Virginia Overton, and Thomas Houseago, as well as the group exhibitions Indicators: Artists on Climate Change and Light and Landscape. Prior to joining Storm King, Ms. Lawrence held curatorial positions in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, New York and at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, and worked in education at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, New York.
Lawrence will focus her presentation on some of her recent curatorial projects at Storm King Art Center, a 500-acre outdoor museum in New Windsor, NY, including those with artists Mark Dion, David Brooks, and Virginia Overton.

*Longtime Mildred’s Lane friends Amy Yoes and Jorge Colombo are in the process of relocating from NYC to the grey barn at 108 Main Street, Narrowsburg, a few doors down from The Mildred Complex(ity). They are in collaboration hosting Town Friday events of 2019. Free and open to the public.
