Rearranging the Year of ARBOREALITY

Dear Friends,

We are rearranging our summer schedule. Mildred's Lane will continue accepting applications, although, in this ever-changing world, a new title for your involvement at Mildred's Lane emerges as Resident-Artists-In-Complex(ity).

Our engagement is pushed back at least a month. There is a new schedule, see below. We will practice social distance swarming independently, open-air, and amongst the trees, following new protocols reinforced by the current societal health facts and guidelines.

Keep watching for updates about open sessions as we assess new conditions in the coming weeks. We ask that current fellows rearrange their schedules and self-quarantine before arriving.

We hope that everyone stays safe and sound while we PAUSE. Meanwhile, follow all precautions provided by factual sources – we will get through this.

BIBLIOPHANTICS and the Narrowsburg Deep Water Literary Festival are CANCELLED. But we offer open-air Bibliophantics throughout the late summer and autumn, so use this bewildering landscape as your independent reading/writing/working residency.

Using the figure of the radical cat, we will explore the representation of capitalism, from the Middle Ages to the present. We will ask how performance, irony, and pleasure may become vehicles for the critique of settler-colonialism, racial capitalism, and financialization.
