To be held at the arts residency Mildred’s Lane (Beach Lake, Pennsylvania) and online, the two-day conference will take place on July 17–18, 2024.
This transdisciplinary symposium aims to convene art practitioners, researchers, theorists, and students interested in the broad spectra of ideas and methods emerging from discourses surrounding the global UFO Phenomenon. It is the first international conference to center art, visual culture, and cinema as key vehicles for the encryption and transmission of liminal phenomena.

RESIDENCY SESSION
JULY 1–19, 2024 | At Mildred’S Lane
An immersive residency for art practitioners, theorists, researchers and students interested in exploring the broad spectra of issues emerging from discourses surrounding the global UFO Phenomenon.
This residency session forms an intensive context in which to consider the UFO phenomenon through transhistorical and artistic research. Organized into 3 week-long modules, culminating in a hybrid in-person/online symposium, the curriculum encompasses readings, screenings, discussions, and field trips that divide the expansive topic of the UFO into thematic territories of interest.

Fellows may attend for one, two, or three weeks of the session as desired.
Some scholarships are available to independent artist applicants expressing financial need.
